Refund Policy

1. Overview

ToneShift AI is a subscription-based SaaS product that provides AI-powered text style transformation. We offer three plans: Free ($0/month), Creator ($9.80/month), and Pro ($19.80/month). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe and automatically renew until cancelled.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page in your account, or through the Stripe Customer Portal. After cancellation:

  • You will retain access to your paid plan features until the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will automatically revert to the Free plan once the billing period ends.
  • No further charges will be made.

3. Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital services, we generally do not offer automatic refunds. However, we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a refund if:

  • You were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge or billing after cancellation).
  • The service was significantly unavailable or unusable during your billing period.
  • You contact us within 7 days of the charge and have not extensively used the service during that period.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email us at masataka.ushijima@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The date and amount of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method via Stripe.

5. Free Trial and Free Plan

ToneShift AI offers a Free plan with limited features at no cost. Since no payment is required for the Free plan, no refund is applicable. We encourage you to try the Free plan before upgrading to a paid subscription.
